Weekly COVID-19 Update
Cumulative Case count: (56)
Several parents have asked if our COVID protocols will be changing soon. We have been told that CDPH will be looking at modifying their rules for California public schools on 2/28/22. We have also been told that Governor Newsom will be releasing his new ‘COVID plan’ later this afternoon. As soon as we learn of any relaxing of any COVID-related school rules, we’ll let you know ASAP.
For COVID testing locations within Placer County, click HERE. Additionally, the federal government announced a +/- ‘free tests for all’ program, and the link to this program is HERE.
REMINDER: Updated CDPH guidance has reduced the isolation requirement for individuals that have tested positive for COVID-19 to five days IF symptoms have resolved and they test negative on day five. Our basic parent-student COVID protocols are here.

Girls’ Volleyball Coming Up
Our 2022 Girls’ VB season starts in March. Coach Christine Pahkim will once again be coaching our teams. We’re going to have some ‘open clinic’ dates for 5th-8th grade girls that are interested in playing, then tryouts and practices.
Girls’ VB Clinic dates: 3/3/22, 3/4/22, 3/8/22, 3/10/22 from 3:30p - 5:00p
Girls’ VB Tryouts dates: 3/14 (2:30p-4:00p), 3/15 (3:30p-5:00p)
Girls’ VB Practices start: 3/16 (parent meeting at 5:00p)
Tentative first match date: 3/24
Know anyone that can officiate VB matches? We’re looking for a VB ref for our home matches this season. If interested, please contact Mr. B (brent@mmcharter.org) and Coach Pahkim (thejcrew3@hotmail.com).
Re-Enrollment for 2022/2023
It’s time for our annual re-enrollment applications for our existing families. We do this so that we know how many students we can enroll from the lottery for the next school year. Existing students are automatically re-enrolled and are exempted from the lottery as long as the forms are submitted by the deadline. This year, we’re trying to simplify things for returning families and have made a Google Form for re-enrollment. Please click on this link HERE to complete re-enrollment applications for your child(ren). The deadline for re-enrollment to guarantee your child’s spot for the next school year is February 17th (today!). We will follow up with any families who don’t respond.
MMCA Children’s House Enrollment Currently Open for the 2022-2023 School Year
Preschool spots are for potty-trained children that will be 3.5 - 5 in mid-August. For our preschool, spots are filled on a first come, first serve basis.
