Mr. Boothby’s Update

Our teachers are looking forward to connecting with each and every family during Fall Goal Setting Conferences this next week. These conferences are a valuable opportunity to discuss your student’s progress so far this year and to work together in setting goals for the months ahead.

Reminder: Conference sign-ups close TONIGHT at 11:00 PM. It is our expectation that at least one parent/guardian attends this important meeting for each student.

Schedule for Next Week:

  • Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday: School is out at 12:00 PM each day to allow time for afternoon conferences.

  • Thursday: No school – Annual Fall Staff Inservice Day

  • Friday: No school – Fall Break

Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting our students!

Thank you for supporting literacy and our school community!

School Uniform Orders

The deadline for our next school uniform order submission is next Wednesday, 10/8 - and yes, there are hoodies available!

All orders placed between August 15-October 8 will be processed at that time.  (Our vendor has a minimum quantity threshold - we submit all orders received at one time.).  Order here: https://www.mmcharter.org/store

Picture Day - October 14th!

Check out the flyer for details on ordering and what to expect.

Don’t forget to have your children dressed in their uniform-best.  However, no green shirts as they interfere with the green screen technology!

Harvest Festival & Trunk or Treat - Friday, October 17

Prepare for a night of frightful fun!  Our annual Harvest Festival is creeping closer and we need your help to make it spooktacular!  Calling all ghoul-loving parents! Secure a trunk and transform your car into a haunted haven, a pirate ship, or anything your eerie imagination conjures up. Not only is it a fantastic way to earn volunteer hours, but the winning trunk will score an awesome Bowling Party for 10 at Lucky Strikes (valued at $280!).  But that’s not all... We also need volunteers to help run games and activities throughout the night. It’s a great way to join the fun and keep the festival spirited for our Mustangs!  Keep your eyes peeled for the sign-up sheet—these spots will vanish faster than a ghost!

WANTED!  After School Club Leaders for Fall Clubs session

We are looking for some parent volunteers to help lead some after school club activities for our students.  Clubs typically run for 4-6 weeks after school, 1x per week, for about 1 hour.  If you have a club idea and/or are interested in leading a club, or have questions about becoming a Club Leader, please reach out to Ray Baldonade at rbaldonade@mmcharter.org, who coordinates all of our after school clubs.

Garden Update

The garden committee is looking for a person willing to help us with our compost. If you have 15 minutes about once a week to help us with this task, please contact Kristin Thomas at kthomas@mmcharter.org.

Please welcome our newly hired garden docents, Sarah Del Buono and Jason Jelonek who will be helping us grow our program! Look for them in the garden every Friday!

Fun Fall Field Trips

Many of our classrooms have had some exciting field trips over the past several weeks, including Green Room’s team building trip to the Sac State Aquatic Center and the Red and Blue Room’s trip to Siino’s to practice etiquette.
