Placer County’s COVID-19 case count continues to trend downwards, but it’s still prevalent around Placer County right now. With COVID-19 still prevalent within our County, we need to continue to be diligent - here is our weekly reminder about our basic COVID-19 protocols regarding student illness - a link to our current student illness protocols is available here.
GARDEN PROJECT THIS WEEKEND!
We need you! You can earn double volunteer hours per person! This Sunday (10/17), one of our school's alumni will be building new compost bins (in the garden) for his Eagle Scout project from 8:00a-2:00p. No experience necessary. All materials and tools will be provided along with snacks and refreshments! You are welcome to come for an hour or to stay all day. Congratulations to our MMCA Boys’ Flag Football Teams!
Congratulations to our MMCA JV and VAR Boys’ Football teams on the completion of their successful seasons! Our JV team finished as League Co-champions in the J.V. division, and our VAR team finished an UNDEFEATED season as the Sierra Foothill League Champions!
November Menus Now Available in Boonli
The November menus are available. The deadline to order for November 1st is Monday, October 18 at 11:59 pm. The weekly deadline is every Monday at 11:59pm, however, we suggest ordering for the entire month. Go to https://mmca.boonli.com/login to order.
Uniform Policy Reminder
From time to time I’ll publish reminders about our School Uniform policy. Having noticed a few of our students pushing the boundaries a bit on it, here’s a basic reminder
Tops: Solid color, non logo’d (unless it’s MMCA-related logos), blue, green or white
Bottoms: Solid color, non logo’d navy blue or khaki

Art Docent Update
MMCA Orange Room Teacher Julie Cohodes has agreed to be our Art Docent Coordinator for the year! She’s going to be reaching out to each of the parents that have volunteered thus far to be docents to set up an orientation.
Parent Volunteers Reminder - new CDPH requirements start next week
As mentioned in previous Flyers, the state is mandating that all parents who volunteer inside a classroom must:
Wear masks when indoors with students; and
Beginning Monday, October 18th, provide one of the following:
proof of vaccination (one-time submission; we’ll keep it on file in the office); or
Negative COVID test within 72 hours prior to volunteer time; or
Proof of COVID-19 diagnosis within the past year (we’re going to recognize natural immunity)
