Mr. Boothby’s Update
While we’re dedicated to providing a strong academic foundation during the school day, we also know how important it is to create fun, meaningful experiences outside of the school day that bring our school community together.
That being said, we have a great lineup of school events this September, and we encourage all families to join in!
Thanks to the hard work of our staff and PTA, each event is planned with our school community in mind and are designed to be relevant, inclusive, and fun for all.
Mark your calendars - let’s make this September one to remember!

Athletics Update
We had 3 separate sport teams start practice this week: Flag Football, Girls Basketball and Cross Country. Cross-Country had their first meet yesterday in Weimar with at least 10 students earning medals. Way to go Mustangs!
PTA Meeting; 9/8
Come learn about what the PTA does - and doesn’t do - and find out how you can get involved with our easy-going group!
We want to hear your voice and ideas - your presence matters.
September 8th @ 2:00pm in the Office Conference Room.
Free aftercare is provided for children of parents/guardians attending the meeting.
Family Dining Out - Panda Express; 9/10
Based on feedback from last year—and with so many fun PTA and school events happening this year—this will likely be our only family dining-out fundraiser of the year. We hope you can join us and help make it a great success!
Donuts For Patriot Day; 9/11 Sep 4, 2025 8:00 AM
The PTA is hosting a Patriot Day Donuts event in honor of Patriot Day on September 11th at 8:00 am. They are asking families to RSVP to ensure that there are enough donuts for everyone: my.cheddarup.com/c/mmca-patriot-day
Watch D.O.G.S. Pizza Night; 9/17
Flyers were sent home with students a couple weeks ago with information about our upcoming Watch D.O.G.S. Pizza Night on September 17th!
On Wednesday, September 17th from 5:30-6:30 pm we will be having our 13th annual ‘Dads and Kids’ Pizza Night at our school. You will meet here at the school cafeteria at 5:30 pm for FREE pizza and drinks. At 6:00pm we will have a presentation about our WATCH D.O.G.S.® (Dads Of Great Students) Program.
WATCH D.O.G.S.® is an innovative program being used by schools across America which helps them to be positively impacted by the committed involvement of fathers and father-figures in their student’s life. Our goal is to have you spend at least one day this year at the school to be a positive male role model and to provide an extra set of eyes and ears.
Dads, granddads, uncles, step-dads and adult brothers . . . this is your chance to have a night out alone with your student in a fun atmosphere at school.
Please return the RSVP forms to school by September 12th!
Family Bingo Night; 9/20
Last year’s Bingo Night was such a success, our PTA is bringing it back for a second year!
It is FREE to participate, however we need you to register for either the 5:00-6:00pm - OR- 6:30-7:30pm time frame to save your seats.
BINGO will be held in the Multi-Purpose/gym at Maria Montessori.
