Mr. Boothby’s Update

Our students shined during our annual Cultural Day Parade! From the adorable little animals in Children's House, to the community helpers and American icons in Kinder/1st, the brilliant innovators and inventors in 2nd/3rd, and the inspiring historical figures in 4th through 8th grade - everyone did an amazing job.

It’s always such a fun day of learning about different cultures and historical figures through dress, food and presentations from peers.

We hope you all have a safe and happy Halloween, and we’ll see you in November!

Enrollment Update

Enrollment update: We have a couple spots available in our preschool and Kindergarten classes. If you know of any families that could be interested, please have them reach out to our mmca@mmcharter.org account.

School Calendar Update

Looking ahead to next year, here is the 2026-2027 School Calendar recently approved by the MMCA Board of Directors. Printed copies are available in our office and will be sent home in the Spring.

All of the dates on the calendar will be added soon to our MMCA Google Calendar as well. You can automatically add our MMCA Google Calendar to your own calendar by clicking the Add to Calendar button on the MMCA Google Calendar on our website.

Board of Directors Election Cycle

The Board of Directors defines the mission of the school and clarifies its philosophy. In conjunction with the Executive Director, the Board establishes the financial, educational, and operational goals of MMCA and ensures that they are achieved annually. The Board may be involved in facility planning, review and approval of legal documents, annual operating budgets, and staffing decisions. The Board of Directors also serve as ambassadors for the school, promoting its successes and building its positive reputation in the community.

Elections
- Board elections are conducted in November/December of each school year. If you are interested in becoming a candidate, please check out our Candidate Information Packet. Applications will be accepted November 1st thru December 5, 2025.
Meetings
- Meetings are typically held on the 4th Monday of each month at 6:00 pm.

Student Leadership Update

Due to unforeseen supply chain issues, the Candy Grams will be delivered around November 4-5.

School Picture Retakes- November 19

By now, all families should have received an email from Jostens regarding your child(ren)’s school pictures and information on how to order. For those families requesting a re-take, request a retake picture through your JostensPIX account (https://shop.jostenspix.com/login) PRIOR to November 19. This will ensure that your child(ren) will be released from class at the correct time.

Art Docent Update

Our classroom volunteer art docents have been hard at work this school year! Stop by the office and see two of the classroom projects from Children’s House and Coral Room.

Watch Dogs Update

It was another great week to be a Watch D.O.G. and have that extra support around campus! Thank you to our recent Watch D.O.G.S this week Stephen Baldwin, Donald Tabb and Ryan Leckey!

Yearbook Sales

Yearbooks are currently on sale! Early bird discount of $30 until December 31st. Prices will increase to $35 beginning January 1st. We only accept online orders for yearbooks through our yearbook manufacturer, Jostens.com.

Photo Submissions for the Yearbook

Our yearbook committee needs YOUR pictures from school events, classroom activities, field trips, athletics, Harvest Festival, etc! Please email or text them to: mmcayb@gmail.com for possible inclusion in our yearbook!
