Thank you to everyone who joined us for Back to School Night on Wednesday!

Also on Wednesday, while our students enjoyed their first Free Dress Day, our MMCA staff joined in the fun with an Underground Spirit Day, showing off their Hawaiian-themed attire.

Let’s keep the positive energy going throughout the school year!

Reserved Parking Lot Winner

Congratulations to Kimberly Duran who is the winner of the Reserved Parking Spot raffle benefitting our Organic Garden/Classroom! Thank you to everyone who donated; the Garden raised $580!

Food at School

At MMCA:

● All students are provided the opportunity of two free meals, breakfast and lunch, during the school day through our on-site meal program. Sign up at https://mmca.boonli.com/login

● Students may bring food from home if that is preferred.

● Food deliveries from outside food services (ie. DoorDash, pizza delivery, etc.) are highly discouraged as they are disruptive to the office/lunch supervision staff and other students.

Calling classrooms to let students know that food has been delivered is not permitted.

Attendance Procedures at MMCA

This week, we are highlighting our current attendance procedures at MMCA. Six weeks ago, the state of California implemented a new law related to ‘Attendance Recovery’, which allows students to make up missed school sessions during non-regular school times (for example: after school, Saturdays, etc.). In order to comply with the new law, we are exploring our options and will keep you updated if we modify our attendance procedures.
