Mr. Boothby’s Update
THANK YOU to all the dads who joined us for our annual WatchDOGS pizza night Wednesday! There are a few things I want to highlight with this week’s Flyer:
County Superintendent site visit: We’d like to thank Placer County Superintendent of Schools Gayle Garbolino Mojica for coming out and visiting our school yesterday!
Annual Data Confirmation: Each year, all public schools in Placer County do a ‘data confirmation’ with their families to confirm that we have accurate parent contact information, etc. Instructions about Data Confirmation are below. Please complete by the Sept. 29th deadline.
Annual Income Survey: Each year, all public schools in the state are required to collect confidential income surveys for each of its students. There are grant and funding opportunities available to schools and students based on this data, particularly if schools can get 100% participation in the survey. PLEASE take a moment to complete the survey (more information below).
Enrollment: We’re continuing to make some Waiting List calls for the few spots we have left, including:
A couple spots in Kindergarten (boy or girl);
A few spots in 2nd/3rd grade (boys); and
A couple spots in our Preschool Program
If you know a family who may be interested in one of these spots, please have them either contact the school or fill out the enrollment application on our website, available here.
We have a brief article below reminding families about some of our dropoff/pickup procedures - please take a look.
Mr. B
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL MMCA FAMILIES Deadline: Monday, September 29th
We have TWO critical updates that require your attention and action:
1. Annual Income Survey
Your response helps us qualify for important funding and grants that directly benefit our students and school programs.
Why it matters: Income data helps determine funding through California’s Local Control Funding Formula and eligibility for programs like free/reduced lunch, before/aftercare discounts, and school clothing assistance.
Confidential: All information is kept secure and confidential.
✅ Action Required: Complete the 4-question survey by Monday, September 29th: SURVEY LINK
2. Annual Data Confirmation (Aeries Portal)
We need up-to-date contact, emergency, health, and photo permission info for each student. Please complete our annual data confirmation update:
✅ Action Required: Log in to Aeries and complete the Data Confirmation for each of your students: AERIES LINK Go to the “Student Info” tab > “Data Confirmation” and follow the steps.
Thank you for completing both items by September 29th to ensure your student’s information is accurate and to help support funding for MMCA programs.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact the front office.
Goal-Setting Conferences
You are invited to sign-up for your child’s conference which will be held in the afternoons Monday, October 6th through Wednesday, October 8th You will have online access to schedule conferences starting Monday, September 22rd through Thursday, October 2nd.
How to schedule your child(ren)’s conference:
1. Go to this link:
2. “Maria Montessori Charter Academy” and press “Go”
3. There will be a prompt for a school password; the password is: mmca
4. The next screen will ask you to “enter the student’s ID” - we are NOT using student ID’s. Instead, press the “LOOKUP STUDENT ID” button.
5. After pressing the “look up student ID” button, you will be prompted to enter your child’s first name, last name, and birthdate and then press “LOOKUP”.
6. After your child has been identified, the program will ask you to do two things:
Select the classroom you want to schedule the conference for (note: ALL of our classrooms are listed by color names, not teacher names); and
If you have multiple children that you want to schedule a conference for, it will give you the opportunity to look up the next child (this will give you the opportunity to see multiple classroom conference schedules listed next to each other, making it convenient for your scheduling)
7. The program will take you through a couple of self-explanatory calendar screens, and your conference will be scheduled.
If you are having issues with the software program, you have two alternatives to schedule your conference:
You may come into the office to use one of our computers.
You may call the office after 9:00am and they can assist you with scheduling.
First Ever MMCA Sports Rally
Our very first Sports Rally was on Tuesday! Cheering on all of our fall athletes was awesome and we are looking forward to future rallies this school year.

Watch D.O.G.S. Update
Thank you to everyone who attended our annual Watch D.O.G.S. Pizza Night.
Sign-Ups are now open: https://www.mmcharter.org/watch-dogs
Family Bingo Night; 9/20
Last year’s Bingo Night was such a success, our PTA is bringing it back for a second year!
It is FREE to participate, however we need you to register for either the 5:00-6:00pm - OR - 6:30-7:30pm time frame to save your seats.
BINGO will be held in the Multi-Purpose Room at MMCA.

Visitors on Campus
Gentle reminder! If you are volunteering on campus, please make sure to sign in at the front office and wear a visitors sticker while on campus.
Whether you are new to volunteering or have been around campus for years, we appreciate your cooperation with this as it helps keep our campus safe.

Parking Lot Etiquette Reminders
To help ensure a safe and smooth experience for everyone, please keep the following in mind during drop-off and pick-up times:
The drop-off line is for active unloading only. Do not leave your vehicle unattended at any time.
Pull all the way forward in the drop-off line to allow more cars to enter and keep traffic flowing.
If your child(ren) needs extra time to exit the vehicle, please park in a designated spot and walk them onto campus.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us keep our campus safe and efficient!
Coin Race Starts Next Week!
Start collecting your change MMCA! The MMCA Coin Race begins next week and there are some FUN prizes up for grabs for the leading classrooms- and one SUPER FUN prize for the official Coin Race winners!
Strategize with your classrooms/ students to decide which days you'd like to bring your POSITIVE points (pennies, bills, checks) and which days you'd like to bring your NEGATIVE points (silver coins).
We also have an online donation portal (similar to last year). This year you will be able to see in real time what has been donated online to each class- for those of you who get a little competitive. HOWEVER, online totals will be added to class totals on Thursday evening (to help spread out the fun and encourage in-person participation).
This fundraiser helps PTA cover the family events throughout the year and is one of the TWO main fundraisers we do.
As always, we appreciate your support!
