MMCA PTA

WANTED: Paid Lunch Supervisor Shifts for Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursdays

We’re looking for Lunch Supervisors for mid-week. The shifts are approximately 11:10a - 12:50p. If interested, please contact Mr. Baldonade at rbaldonade@mmcharter.org.

WANTED: More short term teaching substitutes

For short-term teaching substitutes, we are a part of the Placer County Office of Education’s “Substitute Teacher Consortium.” Post COVID, the countywide substitute teacher pool has 500+ FEWER names on it vs. 2019. Information about how to become a short-term substitute teacher in Placer County is available at the PCOE Substitute Teacher Consortium website linked HERE. If you would like to be a short term sub @ MMCA - and we’re always looking for good subs! - please check out the PCOE Substitute Teacher Consortium page.

Vision testing?!

Every year, we do vision and hearing screenings for specific grade levels. This week, we started our vision screenings with our School Nurse. All public schools in California are required to do this. Based on the screening results, our School Nurse may follow up directly with parents regarding the results.

Picture Retake Day

Picture Retake Day will be on Thursday, December 1, 2022.

Attendance

It is crucial to try to have your students at school everyday to help them stay on track with their academic success. Poor attendance can cause too much loss of learning in class. This will ultimately impact your student’s academic achievements and MMCA’s finances that fund our academic and extracurricular programs. We understand that some absences are unavoidable. If it is necessary for your student to miss three or more days of school, you are welcome to request an Independent Study through our office or by emailing Mrs. Johnson at bjohnson@mmcharter.org. We encourage families to try to line up family vacations with our school calendar.
