Reopening Update:

We sent a note yesterday with links to three documents:

1) "What happens if?," document that includes a) the DAILY symptom check we're asking parents to do at home before they bring kids to school, b) what happens when there's been close contact / potential exposure to COVID-19, c) our return to school policy during COVID-19, d) what happens if someone at school gets COVID-19, e) What happens if a student learns they were in ‘sustained close contact’ with someone with COVID-19 outside of school, and f) what happens if a student gets sick at school.

2) PCOE COVID-19 Testing Matrix: For schools to reopen 'physical school', Placer County needed to establish a 'testing matrix' for testing school staff and students. This (4) page document is basically a 'where can I get tested for COVID-19' for school-related persons, depending on who you are and what the reason for testing is: https://c42096c6-2e4d-493d-bdff-126f872232dd.filesusr.com/ugd/4b8266_5f6509327caf499a8ca347d9f9e385eb.pdf

3) We have prepared a "What's my hybrid school day going to look like?," document for both our AM/PM and A/B hybrid groups. This document also includes pictures of some of the different COVID-19 related changes on campus. And, because we don't have enough issues to deal with, I also included our schools-based Air Quality Index protocols, including what it would take to put us temporarily into Distance Learning based on Air Quality.

We are EXCITED that we’ll be seeing students IN PERSON on Monday! As we get started, I am sure there’s going to be adjustments as we go, but collectively, we’ll get it figured out. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding, as well as agreeing to follow our unique to COVID-19 school policies like the Daily Symptom Check linked above and the limitation of no parents on campus during this time.

Don’t forget to have the appropriate paperwork filled out by you and signed by your child’s doctor along with the medications they might need while on campus. Medications should be in their original prescription container.

Data Confirmation

We still have many families that haven’t completed the Data Confirmation. Please log into your Portal Account with Aeries (https://aeriesportal.placercoe.k12.ca.us/Parent/MMCA/LoginParent.aspx ) and complete the data confirmation. After logging in, go to the Student Info tab and select Data Confirmation. It will have you confirm parent contact info, emergency contact info, medical information, read and acknowledge several policies, etc. Then please print the emergency card, review, sign, and bring it to the office. It is important that we have all contact and medical information on your child's emergency card (before we start back on campus on 9/28!). We will refer to this if there is ever a medical emergency with your child. UPDATE: We only have a little over 5% of our students with current emergency cards.

Hot Lunch Reminders

Starting Monday 9/28, lunches will be heated and served daily based on what class/grade your child is in. The schedule can be found here: https://www.mmcharter.org/post/9-18-2020-parents-update-return-to-site-based-instruction-september-28-2020

If you haven’t done so yet, please fill out the free and reduced application found here: https://c42096c6-2e4d-493d-bdff-126f872232dd.filesusr.com/ugd/4b8266_991b84cfd9474bd5aced4f09bb25a53c.pdf. Thanks to the federal program, it doesn’t matter whether or not you qualify for free lunch, everyone in your household 18 years of age or younger will be eligible for a free lunch through December. Please fill this application out and either email it to hotlunch@mmcharter.org or drop it off at our front office.
