Governance
The
Maria Montessori Charter Academy is a non-profit public school.
Originally charter in 2000, the 2008-2009 school year will be M.M.C.A.’s
9th year of operation.
The M.M.C.A. Charter Council primarily governs the school.
The
M.M.C.A.
Charter is the school’s primary governing document. The by-laws work in conjunction with the Charter Document and
define the scope and function of the Charter Council. The Charter Council has authority and oversight responsibility on the
school budget, facilities, personnel, program and the ability to amend the
school's charter and by-laws.
M.M.C.A.
is sponsored by Rocklin Unified School District.
Located in Placer County, RUSD. is recognized as one of the leaders
of charter education in the state of California. A visual
